Administrative Assistant, National Industrial Relations

You’re the type of person who colour-codes their holiday cards – and everything else in their life. You are organized and diligent and find filing and data entry meditative, but you’re comfortable cold-calling members or industry stakeholders and participating in team files. When you say “I’ll take care of it” we know it’ll be done well and on time, and you often surprise us by anticipating what’s up next and prepping in advance. Your best days are the days when you’ve made someone else’s life easier.

What you will do:

  • Manage the VP’s schedule and calendar, planning meetings, conference calls and travel plans
  • Coordinate IR-related meetings and large-scale events, including all related logistics
  • Assist the VP to ensure they are adequately prepared for meetings and events
  • Prepare and reconcile the VP’s expense reports
  • Provide administrative support including conducting research, creating and maintaining files, attending meetings and taking notes
  • Serve as a point of contact for CMPA-member inquiries
  • Perform other tasks as required, including reception and administrative relief
